Blue Period is a favorite among many anime fans on Netflix. The series, based on the manga, was released in 2021 and has not received a sequel since. So where is Blue Period Season 2?
At first glance, Yatora Yaguchi seems like a typical high school student. But he has a special passion – painting. No other activity makes him feel so fulfilled and alive. For this reason, he begins practicing intensively, hoping to one day be accepted to the Tokyo University of the Arts. However, this is something only a very few achieve.
The story of Yaguchi and his friends isn’t over yet. The manga, which serves as the basis for the anime, still has more than enough source material. The question remains when Blue Period will finally continue with Season 2. After all, the finale of the first season has been several years ago.
Where Is Blue Period Season 2?
Anime fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Blue Period Season 2. The series, based on the manga of the same name, was released on Netflix in September 2021. A total of 12 episodes have been released, but there’s still no sign of a second season.
Neither the animation studio Seven Arcs nor Netflix have officially announced Blue Period Season 2 yet. But why is that? After all, Blue Period has managed to build its own fan base and has also received very good ratings on relevant platforms like IMDb.
Unfortunately, we don’t know the reasons for the current hiatus. It can’t be due to a lack of source material, as the manga, with its 19 volumes, offers more than enough content for several more seasons. Perhaps the anime wasn’t streamed or watched on TV in Japan often enough.

When Could Blue Period Season 2 Be Released?
Since we haven’t received official confirmation that Blue Period Season 2 will even be released, we can’t say when it will be. We’ll keep you updated and will update this article as soon as new information becomes available.
We suspect that once the sequel is announced, a release should follow soon after. It will likely then only take a few months to a year at most for the first episodes to air. However, this is pure speculation, and the current information is simply too limited for more precise estimates.
