Chowder is one of the more complex dishes in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Preparing it requires a total of four different ingredients. In this guide, you’ll learn how to make it.
Disney Dreamlight Valley is a cozy life-simulation game full of possibilities. You can explore a vast game world, forge friendships, farm, and mine – but you can also prepare dishes like chowder. It is one of the few seafood dishes in the game, and preparing it isn’t exactly easy.
There are now nearly 500 different dishes in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Chowder is a four-star entrée; accordingly, it is prepared using four different ingredients. Here, you can find out what those ingredients are, where to get them, and how to cook the chowder.
Chowder Recipe in Disney Dreamlight Valley
To prepare the chowder, you need to find a cooking station. There, you add the four required ingredients to the cooking pot. You’ll need one piece of coal to start the cooking process. The ingredients needed for chowder are:

- Any Seafood
- Potato
- Milk
- Any Vegetable (like Cucumber, Onion, Carrot, Eggplant or Corn)
As you can see, you can choose two of the ingredients relatively freely. Once prepared, you can sell the dish at Goofy’s Stall for 547 Star Coins or eat it to restore at least 1,186 energy. The amounts of coins and energy vary because two of the ingredients in this dish are variable.
Using rarer ingredients increases the value of the dish. With lesser ingredients, the opposite is true – meaning you receive fewer coins and less energy.
Where to Get the Ingredients
Seafood and vegetables are the easiest to obtain. You can find scallops, oysters, and clams on Dazzle Beach, where they lie in the sand and can simply be picked up. In addition to ordinary seashells, you will also find scallops and oysters there. For the vegetable, you can choose from numerous varieties available in the game, such as cucumber, onion, carrot, eggplant, or corn.
When it comes to potatoes, you can either buy them at Goofy’s Stall in the Forgotten Lands or get potato seeds to grow the tubers yourself. The potatoes take 35 minutes to grow and need to be watered just once with the watering can. Milk is available in Remy’s Restaurant for 230 Star Coins.
What’s the Chowder for?
As previously mentioned, you can sell Chowder for Star Coins or simply consume it to restore energy. Aside from that, the dish can also be used to increase your friendship level with the Valley’s residents and even as part of quests.
We hope our guide has been helpful to you. Chowder is one of the trickier dishes in Disney Dreamlight Valley, but it’s not really a problem once you know where to find the ingredients. Feel free to leave us any feedback or questions about our article in the comments.
